Another illustration I did inspired by the book Hunter's Moon (by Garry Kilworth). When a fox dies, a white fox ghost with a white flame above his head appears, showing others the way and leading them to the dead one.

This book touched me a lot. This drawing is no illustration of a special book scene, but just inspired by the whole story.

Picture was already drawin in summer this year, and sold at EF14.

The night, silent, dark, and calm
Lit only by the moon and stars
Shrouds the forest in a veil
Under a flame of white, fulfilling his sacred duty
A white fox appears, shining brighter than moonlight
To guide us to our fallen brother,
Our Kin, our friend
To the place where eternal peace was found
Where he laid down to forever sleep
Dread fills our minds
Sadness fills our hearts
Wondering who we will find
Following the spirit guide
We stop when he enters our sight
Once filled with the fire of life
Now cold and empty, he has been set free
We lower our heads in respect and love
May he know what he meant to us
Wind rushes through the trees
To carry away his soul
Silently, except to shush our mourning
And dry our flowing tears
