As most notes I receive are about free requests or using my art, I have extracted some F.A.Q. in short form:


Are you doing requests?
- No, sorry. My little free time barely allows it to do all the artwork that I want to. So please don't ask for it. If I do free art, it will be gifts for friends.

Are you doing commissions?
- Due to my rare free time, I am taking commissions only very rarely (except badges/sketches at conventions). I am sorry I can't estimate when I will be open again. The best way is to subscribe to my Mailing List (see my website) or keep an eye on my accounts (Twitter). I am sorry I do not keep a waiting list any more. I also don't do point commissions or such (sorry, but they won't pay my bills).

Can you teach me how to draw?
- I am sorry, it's not possible for me to give drawing lessons, especially not online (it's way to complex, and I simply won't have the time). I will do more tutorials ([link] when I find the time, and I am also trying to give tips on my website: [link]

Can you feature me / my art?
- Sorry, my journal is not available as advertising platform (unless it's something that personally concerns/affects me). If I agreed to post one thing for somebody - how could I argue that I will not post the next thing for somebody else? I just want to keep it fair.

Can I use your art?
- That depends on the "use"! Pictures/Characters that belong to other people (including all my personal characters) are not allowed for use in any way (unless you have the character owner's permission). Altering pictures / cropping signatures, etc. is never allowed in any way. If you reference a pose, please give credit for the original work.
- It is OK to use pictures of mine showing random / not copyrighted characters for personal use (commercial use is never allowed in any way). You can also use it for roleplay and avatars. Giving credit would be much appreciated (and please make sure first that the character does not belong to another person).

This year has already been so busy, and it seems like that won't change for the next months. We just got back from Confuzzled, and will be at AnthroCon next week, and afterwards almost every weekend is full with preparations for Eurofurence in August. That means lots of coffee. X)

Btw. as I sold out of the t-shirts I made (HOT / COOL, Stuck Fox), I decided to offer them via RedBubble now. I provide the art, the company takes care about the printing and shipping. Big advantage - you can pick your favorite shirt form (t-shirt, girlie shirt, hoodie,...) and shirt color, so you can customize the shirt as you wish. Since April 5th, I am offiially Nightfox' wife.
We had a wonderful wedding with our family, and are very looking forward to the wedding party next weekend with our friends. Thank you all SO MUCH for the kind wishes on our marriage! We are totally overwhelmed by all the many comments.

The more - big update for my website was way overdue, so I finally overworked the whole site now. ^^ The menu structure was... OK, but partly confusing, so I kinda separated the personal stuff from the artistic sections, which should make a lot more sense now. I also added a lot of new content and pictures. An overview what has been updated:

• New submenu sections: Photoshop Tips, graphic tablet, helpful tools, useful items...
• Added more content to Art Materials and Sculptures (with photos + WIPs)
• Added new pictures (WIPs / examples) to Helpful tools (like Google SketchUp)
• Added 2 new tutorials (Photoshop brushes and masks)
• Updated all contents and texts

Now I feel like having at least something little more useful online again.
Whenever I get an email from somebody telling me that my stuff helped or inspired them, this always makes me SO very happy! Those are some of the most precious comments you can get.

Greetings from Melbourne! We're currently still in Australia on vacation after MiDFur (convention). We totally love this city! Gonna update more art when we're home.

Also, yes there was an account by someone who claimed to be me and that I would have stolen her full art gallery (suuure). I don't know why trolls do that, as there are hundreds of ways to easily proof that they are liars. However, the fake account is gone now. Thank you for your support.

This was truly a busy and eventful year. So, from the heart, I wish everyone of you a wonderful Christmas time with your family and friends! Have some relaxing days and enjoy yourselves. I hope many of your dreams have come true this year, and if not, that they will come true in the New Year, which I am wishing you the best of luck, health and happiness for!

Thank you also to every single one for all your comments, feedback, gifts and messages during the year! I am always so happy when I hear/read that someone enjoyed something I drew. Honestly, thank you - I very much appreciate all of them, also if I am not able to reply to every single comment (I wish the week had 5 weekend days...). It seems like it is getting harder with every year to keep up with everything... but I will continue trying my best, and hope that you will have the same understanding and patience you showed me before.

There were some very productive times this year, but there were also times when I felt very stressed and burnt out and wasn't able to draw much any more. And I very much hope I will have a less stressful 2012. One of my wishes for the New Year would be having more free time again, but unfortunately that doesn't seem like a wish that could become true. This actually reminds me of a quote from Lord of the Rings: "All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

HeWhoWalksWithTigers, aka Kuba, is very active in wildlife conservation (and besides, an awesome photographer), particularly helping tigers. He was offered a full internship with FREELAND Foundation (a non-profit in Thailand dedicated to stopping the illegal trade in people and wildlife) to help them in tiger and elephant conservation, but making this possible (unfortunately) requires money. So he is hosting a fundraiser and offers awesome wildlife photos in a variety of products (prints, calendar,...) to help raise money for the internship. He's been volunteering for years to help the plight of these beautiful, extremely endangered big cats.

So there's no way back now... We have been at the register office today, and our wedding date is now official: Nightfox and I will get married on 5th of April, 2012.

That's the date of the register office wedding in a small circle with our families, the wedding party with our friends (invitations will be sent out) will be a little later, but probably in April (we're currently looking for nice locations, but we don't have a fix date yet). This is so exciting!

A lot has been going on. AnthroCon and Eurofurence were a blast, I am still hovering on that cloud of inspiration and motivation that conventions usually bring for me. It was so awesome to see so many friends again. ^^ Being at 3 conventions since April and having friends visiting us didn't leave me much time for updating my account. I hope I can change that again soon.

The more, I have awesome news - My boyfriend proposed to me on Friday night at Eurofurence! I didn't know anything about it! He got down on his knees, telling me how he loves me, and offered me the ring, just like in the movies. It was just such a perfect moment... Of course I said yes! So I am happily engaged now to my beloved boyfriend Nightfox! We don't have a date for the marriage yet, it will probably be spring next year. This all still feels so new to me!

So, a lot of things going on... I will also post information about ordering my newest t-shirts and calendars soon. Stay tuned!

Absolutely still alive - and busy! We have been in the USA for 3 weeks in April (also being at Furry Connection North), followed by Confuzzled (convention in UK) in May one week later. This year has already been stuffed and busy with preparations, and seems like it will stay busy until September... Already this month, rehearsals for the Eurofurence Pawpet Show start again, followed by a one week exhibition trip in June, followed by AnthroCon (USA) in June, Eurofurence (Germany) in August and Rainfurrest (USA) in September (all conventions having Art Show and Dealer's Den, where I have to prepare stuff for). Inbetween, I am trying to work off remaining commissions, trades and gifts. Besides, I am still trying to enjoy my life with my partner, my cats and my friends. Things are really incredibly busy this year... I hope next year will be more relaxed again.

So, I am very sorry that I am having a hard time checking / updating my sites like DA. It has become really hard, almost impossible to read / reply to every comment I get here. This does absolutely not mean that I wouldn't care, I appreciate every single comment, shout and fav! But it's really just a serious matter of time that I cannot get back to everybody personally, and I am also not happy with it, but I currently can't change it. :/ I also have a regular full time job, so I only have quite a few free time to spend on hobbies (which includes drawing and taking care of my websites).

I am still around, just very busy. My main gallery I am updating regularly is FurAffinity. Also I am checking my emails daily, so if there's anything you'd like to ask or let me know -

Got your attention? Then here are some things I feel like I need to point out again. :]

1. I don't regularly read PMs on DA

I just replied to all PMs here on DA (part of it more than one month old), sorry for the delay. Again - I won't be able to check my DA messages regularly, so please - if you have a question or any important issue, please email me (tanidareal@gmail.com)! I will check my PMs from time to time, but no guarantee when.

2. I don't do free requests!

Really, this won't change. It's listed in my profile, and I think it's pretty impolite to just ask people for free art, without even taking the time to at least check the journal/profile first. I have a lot of projects, conventions and commissions going on, the more I have a real life (boyfriend, job, cats, friends, household). Please understand that I just don't have the time for free requests.

3. Commissions

I am currently still not open for new commissions (due to convention preparations, the next months will already be very busy again). I am planning to add new commissions again soon, but I can't say when exactly and what kind of commissions (depending on my time, it also might just be badges for example). Still a low, but raising number of hate comments here on DA against furries makes me really wonder - what the hell is wrong with people? Is your life that boring that you need to insult people you don't even know, just because they like a different hobby or lifestyle (that you also obviously don't need ANYthing about)? Did you ever hear about tolerance? Or appreciating artistic skills, even if you don't like the genre?

"Furry" is such an enormous and varied genre, you couldn't explain it in one phrase, except for the main thing we have in common - Furry Fans are people who have an extraordinary affinity for anthropomorphic animals (which can be art, writing, costuming, roleplaying, or anything else). I absolutely don't expect everybody to understand or even like furry, and that's totally fine. But the hell, people, stop generalizing or insulting a whole fandom just because of one weird picture you googled. It's totally fine not to like something, but honestly - why do you click on submissions like fursuit pictures then? Posting a photo of a well made costume is neither offensive, nor pervert, nor sexual, nor anything. I am not bothering you with it, I am not trying to convert anybody, I am not a "hardcore" furry. Believe it or not - I am a regular girl, with a boyfriend, a nice family, a job, just with a hobby/lifestyle that's less usual than soccer or collecting stamps.

So if you don't like furry but still want to comment - please be polite and tolerant. It's all fine to say it's not your kind of thing, but insulting me (or furries in general) will just make you end up on my block list. I will not let you drag me down on such a low and hateful niveau. And comments like that aren't constructive critique as well.

And same request to the furry side - please do not fight back on the same niveau. We're neither better, nor worse than anybody else. I can somehow understand many of you feel like "defending" the furry fandom, but please rather try to argue properly, give explanations, stay polite, or simply ignore trolls. Insulting people back or telling things like we would be better does not help giving furry a good reputation as well. I don't need to be "proud" of what I am - I simply want to enjoy it.

Two more things about comments:

1. Please read the commentary field when I post a submission! When I write there "BNCreation made the fursuit, not me" and people still answer "great suit you made"... well. I promise I won't write novels in there, just some info that I consider interesting for the submission. ^^

2. I will not answer questions about money in public. If you are really interested how much I paid for something, please send me an email or PM. Thanks for understanding!

EosFoxx and I had a big birthday party this weekend, themed "Hybrids of the Caribbean", with lots of friends, music, cocktails, fursuits and pirates! It was just great, thank you all for making it the party it was! ^^ I got a xbox Kinect, which is just total fun! In the evening we had a nice steak dinner, today we had our first snow over here... so everything is just wonderful at the moment. Thank you all for making me happy! <3

Back from Eurofurence, still having friends over at our place. Had a blast at the con and met a lot of friends. ^^ I noticed I am quite behind with uploading art... so I will try to catch up with that within the next weeks.

I hope I have some time to relax now for a few weeks, however I still got quite some homework to do (badges / sketches), and finish my old commission list of course. I am totally still alive and kickin. It has just gotten harder and harder to keep up with two galleries, so I am currently more active on FurAffinitiy ([link], but I will still try to update my DA account.
