Some things I would like to say about drawing gift art.

I totally know there are so many other people out there who deserve gift art and thank you art... But I am very sorry - it is not possible for me to draw something back for everybody, even if I would love to. So please don't be disappointed when I am drawing a picture for X but not for you (even if you may deserve it more). This is not because I am mean or because I don't think you deserve it, but because I have very limited time (and a full time job), and I can't draw every day.

There are so many people that deserve artwork... but it's just not possible, and I feel bad about it. However, I still want to draw gift art when I find the time, and I don't want to feel like I have to justify myself why I drew something (and not for somebody else). I want to enjoy drawing gift art and making people happy, and not feeling "guilty" because I had to pick 1 out of 100 people who would have deserved it as well.

Something else... If you're drawing a picture for somebody as a gift, it should be a gift. Drawing gift art and then asking if you're now getting something back afterwards isn't really the definition of "gift" (unless both agreed with a trade before of course). ;)

Oh, and please - I do not do free requests! So please stop asking.

I have hardly enough time to do artwork for all my projects, commissions, art shows and also personal art. I will be open for commissions at some times (currently I am still closed, but I will announce it when I am open). And of course I will draw gifts when I find the time.

Thanks for understanding. ^^

I love your art work so much! you are so very skilled. ^^

I wish I was as good as you. I noticed it will be your birthday soon in 5 days, and I also just wanted to wish you an early Happy Birthday!!! :D

I'm kind of new to the whole "dA points thing" and I thought I would be able to send you something for a gift, but I didn't know it was actual money and what not. So that didn't work. ): lol.

I also love your character!! I saw her and fell in love and she gave me an idea for my own character. I named her Cune and she is half Snow Leopard and half Giant Panda Bear ^^ I can't really draw her too well yet but she is in my mind floating around. haha. I'll show you sometime when i can actually get her on a ref sheet. (:

I  doing gift art coz I like the challenge of drawing other people's characters :D
I don't expect anything in return, just the hopes that the person likes it, lol. I also choose to do it for awsome people & partivulary for people who need cheering up :D

Yeah, I can relate to the whole wanting to give people gift arts. Wish I had more time, but alas, don't we all? :) :pat:

Yeah, I know. I have a lot of people who I know really want a trade with me.
I just can't, plus it becomes work if you accept all of them, and the art turns out badly.

I agree, people should stop expecting you to give up precious time for some art for them.

Now can you please draw me some giftart? =D *flees from bricks*

I completely understand where you're coming from with the concept of Gift Art meaning to be a GIFT. Someone shouldn't expect something back in return because they took the time to sit down, and hand draw out or sit in front of a laptop screen or computer screen to sit and doodle out a piece of Art for an individual.

The idea of Gift Art is the idea of you want to just do something as a small token of appreciation to an individual. Now and again, I'll do something like that for someone over on FurAffinity because I feel like doing it gives me a chance to work on my art work and style. As well try and perfect canines and felines ^^; No matter the species, still a work in progress.

And with what :iconzanerus: wrote on a comment reply at point in this, I can agree full heartedly with what you're saying about being a little standoffish to write something for someone if they ask you to. There is an individual on here that...she asked me if I would write on a particular Gaming Pairing she likes. I decided, "Yeah, I'll see what I can whip up..." ...I personally haven't gotten to it because of either lack of inspiration or just the need to go back and rewatch the game play for the game that its being written off of so that I'm not halfheartedly going, "Uh...crap. I just messed up on capturing those characters and that never happened in the game ><"
But its good practice either way.

Overall, when the time permits, do what you feel like doing, be it something of personal art, commissions, stuff for an upcoming Con. or w/e the form of art you need to draw.
